: Series synopsis/PLOT :

Athang is the tale of a discerning young man named Rau also known as Raavan living under the shadow of a soul trapped in its own curse. While Rau is battling his demons and trying to survive the inevitable pain, a curious young woman named Sushila arrives at the Sardekhmukh’s residence, where women are forbidden. Rukmini, who is Rau’s widowed maternal aunt advises Sushila that she stays hidden from Rau and away from the lake. She tells her about the dark history of Sardeshmukh’s residence. Despite the prohibitions and rules set by Rukmini, Sushila enters Rau’s room out of curiosity. Sushila gets caught and Rau gets angry as he despises women when they are around him because of his past trauma. He lets Sushila stay at Rukmini’s request. As days pass by, Rau and Sushila get close and start sharing intimate details about each other. She helps Rau heal his trauma and face his demons.
